Club history

HISTORY

Liberty Professionals Sporting Club was born out of a vision to portray the scientific approach to the management of a football club in the Africa sub-region.
Little wonder therefore that since the club was formed in 1997, it has progressively and aggressively graduated from the second division category of the National League to the National elite Premier Division, within a relatively short spate of time.
Since it's entry into the Premiere Division League in 1998, the Club has maintained respectable league match performances culminating in a consistent respectable placement in the Premiere League competitions.

CLUB REGISTRATION

The Club has been registered as a Limited Liability Company in Accra-Ghana since 1999 , with the Certificate of Incorporation No. 82,944 dated 5th January, 1999.
The Club is run by a management board comprising of two Executive Directors who are founders and main financiers of the Club. They are supported by Director of Administration.
The board set in place structures to facilitate the running of the Club in a Professional and modern way.

CLUB ACHIEVEMENTS & FUTURE

The Club has been able to turn out many top-class young footballers to the Ghana National Junior and Senior teams.
There are also some of our products playing actively with clubs in France, Greece, Italy and Holland. The Club has, at the moment, a relatively small support base and this has greatly affected cash in-flows to support financial commitment of the Club.
The Club is however not daunted by the financial handicap, and continues to pursue the vision of creating a Football Club in the African sub-region that would be comparable to those in North Africa and the Western World.
