Liberty sink Eleven Wise
Goal from Ivorian Kevin Kouadio and Francis Morton in each half sunk visiting Sekondi Eleven Wise further down the league table and deepened the woes of the western showboys as Liberty produced a confident display to earn maximum points and keep 100% home record intact.

Ghana handed tough AFCON draw
2010 World Cup finalists Ivory Coast and Ghana have been placed in the same group for next year's African Cup of Nations in Angola. The Elephants and the Black Stars will also face 2006 World Cup finalists Togo in Group B as well as tough West Africans Burkina Faso in Cabinda.

Ghana and Angola draw
Ghana earned a draw against Angola in the friendly international at Cidadela Stadium after the tie finished goalless.
The match went on as planned for the Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac who handed some young members in his squad starting places.

Michael Essien Launches Foundation

Liberty thrash Kotoko
Dansoman based Liberty Professionals sunday made light work of Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra. Goals from Kevin Kouadio, Lukeman Bright and Francis Morton drowned the Kumasi side to their first defeat of the season. The Kotoko consolation was scored by Francis Coffie mid way the second half.

Liberty Professionals have had the request to have their 5th week clash against moved to Sunday approved by the Premier League Board. The game originally to be played on saturday at the Carl Reindorf Park was moved due to security reasons.

Liberty suffer first loss
Liberty Professionals suffered their first loss at the hands of Wa All Stars on sunday in the 4th week fixture of the Glo premier league at Wa.
It is the first loss on the road for the season for the Scientific soccer lads and Wa All Stars first season win.

Essien named for FIFA top award
Ghana midfielder Michael Essien listed by Fifa as one of 23 players in contention for the 2009 World Player of the Year.
The 28-year-old is chasing the highest individual award in world football although he is considered an outsider to upset the likes of Lionel Messi,Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka who are much fancied for the award.

Liberty move to second
Liberty Professionals moved to second on the Glo Premier League table after a hard fought 1-0 win over New Edubiase United at the Carl Reindorf Park at Dansoman Wednesday. The opening game of the season had to be rescheduled to allow Liberty to honour their WAFU qualifier against ASFA Yennega.

Liberty Wednesday take on Premier league new boys New Edubiase at the Carl Reindorf Park, Dansoman at 3pm in an outstanding Glo Premier League game. The game was rescheduled to make way for Liberty Professionals clear their WAFU qualifier against ASFA Yennega of Burkina Faso.

Honour for Liberty's men
Head Coach Sellas Tetteh, goalkeeper Daniel Agyei, midfielder Ghandi Kassenu and striker Latif Salifu were honoured for their various roles in winning the African Youth Championship earlier the year in Rwanda and also the ultimate at Egypt weeks ago. The event took place at the Crown Liberty Hotel in Aplaku in Accra.

Kamal Issah wins day for Liberty
A 40th minute fierce grounder from a Ghandi Kassenu set up won the day for Liberty Professionals against Bechem Chelsea at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park on Sunday. It was the “scientific lads” first win of the season and at home who almost made a match of it.

Liberty Professional came from a goal down to thrash visiting Burkinabe side ASFA Yennega 5-2 to progress the final stage of the West African Football Union (WAFU) club championship to be held in Togo in December. A Latif Salifu hat-trick and a goal each from Kevin Kouadio and Mawuli Tuglo sealed the win.

The game is the return leg of the West African Football Union(WAFU) Club Championship qualifier. Liberty drew goalless in the first leg in Ouagadougou.
